With the Bauen & Modernisieren building fair and the Auto Zürich car show, Messe Zürich is hosting two real crowd-pullers this autumn. And that’s not all. With MCH Group’s own two events – IFAS and the careers fair – the year will be seen out with two further trade fair highlights.
When the words “trade fair city” are mentioned in Switzerland, it’s most likely the city of Basel that first springs to mind. At the moment, however, Zurich can certainly match up to its northwestern counterpart in this respect. “The enormous variety of trade fairs being staged at our location in the second half of the year is naturally playing straight into our hands”, says Jonas Scharf, Managing Director Venues at MCH Group. “It demonstrates impressively just how versatile and freely configurable our seven exhibition halls are.”
Bauen & Modernisieren took place from 8 to 11 September 2022 and proved to be a great success. At this 22nd edition, visitors enjoyed an architecture forum as well as a highly topical panel discussion on climate neutrality. Next in the trade fair diary is IFAS, regarded as the most important industry meeting point for Switzerland’s healthcare sector. From 25 to 27 October 2022, the 12’000 or so participants can look forward to lectures and talks on subjects including data protection, IT systems for medical practices and the skilled worker shortage. They will also be updated on the innovations and trends in their specialist field. Then, from 10 to 13 November 2022, everything is set to revolve around horsepower – no fewer than 45 brands will be coming to the Auto Zürich car show to present a total of 80 innovations. And last but not least, an offering for the younger generation too: from 22 to 26 November 2022, the Careers Fair will be providing young people with detailed information on the opportunities that exist for training and continuing education.
